What we place

Household professionals, matched to how your home actually runs.

From live-in support to postpartum care and meal prep, we recruit, evaluate, and match household professionals to the specific needs of your family — not a generic job posting. Every category is evaluated to its own standard.

How our professionals work

Two ways to bring help into your home.

Category 01

Live-In

Professionals who work and reside with the family under agreed terms — ideal for households that need a consistent, embedded presence across long hours or overnight coverage.

Category 02

Live-Out

Professionals who work set schedules without residing in the home — the right fit for families who want dedicated, reliable help within defined hours.

Category 03

Nannies

Full-time · Part-time · Live-in or live-out. Professionals dedicated primarily to childcare — with the experience, references, and temperament to become a genuine part of your family's rhythm.

Every nanny goes through The Home Place's nanny-specific evaluation: experience, ages cared for, references, routines, child nutrition, communication with parents, hypothetical scenarios, infant experience where relevant, driving when the position requires it, and credentials when they exist.

Ideal for families who need

  • Reliable long-term daytime care for infants, toddlers, or school-age children
  • Someone who can drive, prepare children's meals, manage schedules, run enrichment
  • A trusted second-in-command in the household, not a rotating temp
Category 04

Mother's Helpers

After-school · Summers · Date nights · Everyday routines. Practical, hands-on support for mothers and families through the daily rhythm of the household — the category families most under-invest in, because they think of it as "just a sitter."

Ideal for families who need

  • Regular after-school pickups, homework support, and dinner prep
  • A trusted person on-call for date nights and last-minute needs
  • Everyday help during the hours a parent needs an extra set of hands
Category 05

Postpartum Home Support

Practical, non-medical support during the postpartum period. We keep this clearly separate from clinical care: this is practical household and newborn support, not medical treatment.

When a candidate holds a specific credential — Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, nursing, or another licensed healthcare credential — we only communicate credentials that have actually been verified. We never present practical household support as medical care.

Ideal for families who need

  • Overnight or daytime help during the fourth trimester
  • Support with feeding routines, newborn care basics, and light household help
  • A credentialed specialist, when clinical-adjacent experience is needed and verified

For clinical or medical needs, we'll refer you to a licensed healthcare provider rather than pretend to be one.

Category 06

Meal Prep & Home Food Support

Weekly meal prep · Kitchen organization · Dietary needs. Professionals with real meal-preparation and food-organization skills inside a private residence — from a weekly prep session to ongoing kitchen support.

Where relevant, we evaluate food hygiene, kitchen organization, meal planning, preparation, portioning, storage, refrigerator and freezer organization, cleanup, dietary instructions, and allergy awareness.

Ideal for families who need

  • Regular, healthy meal prep built around your family's schedule and preferences
  • Careful handling of allergies or dietary restrictions
  • A combined profile — meal prep paired with housekeeping, nanny, or family-assistant support
Category 07

Family & Household Assistants

The hybrid role for households that need support across more than one area. A blended profile for families who don't need a single specialist so much as one dependable person who can carry several responsibilities well — scheduling, errands, light household management, and day-to-day support.

Ideal for families who need

  • One trusted person covering household admin, errands, and scheduling
  • A combined profile, such as housekeeper + meal prep, nanny + meal prep, or family assistant + light household management
  • Flexibility without adding multiple separate hires
How placement works

From first call to follow-up.

The full family experience — usually 10 to 21 days depending on urgency and role.

  1. Consultation

A conversation about your family, your household, and the role you're looking to fill. We'll walk you through the process, expectations, and timelines with no pressure.

  2. Family intake & recruitment

We build a detailed profile of your family and the role, sign the service agreement, and open the search — screening candidates against the role's specific standards.

  3. Candidate presentation & interviews

You receive a shortlist of evaluated, referenced candidates, and we coordinate interviews around your schedule.

  4. Selection, placement & follow-up

You and the professional decide together whether to move forward. We document the placement and stay in touch through the follow-up period.
