Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of homeplaceandco.com and your engagement with The Home Place, LLC (“The Home Place,” “we,” “us”), a household staffing placement firm serving Houston & surrounding areas, Texas. By using this website or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms.

Our role

The Home Place provides screening, matching and placement services between private families and household professionals. The Home Place does not employ candidates for assignment into client homes. The family and candidate agree directly on the terms of a placement. Families are responsible for the household-employer obligations that apply to their arrangement, including work authorization verification, payroll, taxes and other legal requirements.

Placement fee, membership and candidate compensation

The standard THE HOME PLACE placement fee is $2,000 unless a signed agreement states otherwise. The optional Family Membership is $250 per month for clients who choose ongoing support. These amounts are separate from the candidate's compensation. Candidate compensation is agreed and paid directly between the family and candidate for the applicable placement. Each placement includes a 30-day replacement period subject to the signed agreement and its conditions.

No guarantee of fit or outcome

While we vet every candidate carefully, The Home Place cannot guarantee the future conduct, performance, or fit of any candidate we present, nor can we guarantee that a family will find a candidate suitable. Our follow-up, 30-day replacement process and optional Family Membership are designed to support the placement, but they do not constitute a warranty of future conduct or performance.

Candidate terms

The Home Place does not charge candidates any fee to apply, be evaluated, or be placed. Candidates are placed as W-2 household employees of the family, not of The Home Place, and compensation, schedule, and terms of employment are agreed upon directly between the candidate and the family (with our guidance).

Website use

This website is provided for informational purposes. You agree not to misuse the site, submit false information through our forms, or attempt to access data belonging to other families or candidates.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Home Place is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or a placement facilitated by us. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Texas law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
